Title: Melon Folly and the Infinite Strangeness (Or, Be Careful Where You Point Your Love Spells)
Pairing: Merlin/Arthur
Spoilers: vague season 3 speculation
Word Count: 2,158
Summary: Destiny, Merlin is quite bloody certain, should not involve getting your face licked. In which Morgana’s evil plan to bring down Camelot with a love spell does not go exactly according to plan, and Merlin is suddenly getting
a lot of attention from Arthur.
Author's Note: Bwa ha ha! This cracky little adventure is in response to
chibirhm's prompt, 'Melon, Merlin/Arthur.' The touching backstory of which is the following exchange, which took place while my mother and I were watchin' some Merlin a few weeks ago:
ARTHUR: Merlin ... [blah blah blah]
MY MOM: It sounds like he's calling him 'Melon.'
ME: That's because he is. That's his nickname for him.
MY MOM: (totally, 100% buying it) Aww, really??
So, you know. That's a thing.
Also, I doubt the frequency with which they chowed down on melon in mythical medieval England, but whatever. Uther had sex with a troll!!!!
( When Morgause informs Morgana of her newest plan to strike back at Camelot, Morgana … is not precisely in love with the idea. Yes, she supposes she is evil now, but still. There’s a line. )
