Whoo, another one done! :) This is for the lovely [livejournal.com profile] snowfire, who asked for "Anne of Green Gables, holiday traditions." I had way too much fun writing this. OH, this story will forever own my whole heart.

Tradition, And Its Reinvention - Anne of Green Gables ; Anne, Marilla, & Rachel Lynde ; 2,100 words. Anne's first Christmas at Green Gables involves the reinvention of a Cuthbert family tradition and the continued pain of losing Diana to an accidental currant wine binge. Also, gingerbread.

The making of gingerbread men at Christmastime was an old Cuthbert family tradition. )

Title: The Great Earring Quest (Or, Puffed Sleeves Are So Last Season)
Pairing: Anne/Gil
Word Count: 2,431
Rating: G
Summary: A pair of mother of pearl earrings sets Anne off on a rather dotty quest to get her ears pierced. Diana offers support and skepticism in equal measure, Marilla tsk-tsks, Matthew awkwardly says "well now" a lot, and Gilbert Blythe absolutely, completely, without a doubt hasn't the slightest bit of charm whatsoever. Really.
Author's Note: I have no idea about lots of things, and the frequency with which women got their ears pierced in the Edwardian era is one of them. Er, roll with it? This is in response to [livejournal.com profile] firthgal's prompt 'Earlobe, Anne/Gil.' :)

Oh, mother of pearl, I wouldn't trade you for another girl! (Roxy Music/L.M. Montgomery otp?) )

Title: Love a loathed enemy
Pairing: Anne/Gil
Word Count: 1,930
Summary: It’s on the most wintery of days that Miss Stacy introduces them to Shakespeare.
Author's Note: Hahaha, I have been writing this little ditty for about five years. Most of it is from many, many months ago. It is in response to [livejournal.com profile] chibirhm's prompt for this meme, which I still like to imagine that I will finish someday. Somehow. Slowly.

Title: Time stood still (we were moving too fast)
Pairing: Anne/Gil
Word Count: 1,091
Author's Note: Oh good God, people, I wrote something! This right here is what I like to call a miracle. Anyway, this is a response to this week's [livejournal.com profile] 15_minute_fic. It was more on the half an hour side of things, but by golly, that's still pretty fast for me!

Titles will forever be my downfall; I stole this one from And You Give by Matthew Barber, which has the same kind of summery bliss that I was feeling for this, and which makes my soul all fluttery in a way uncannily like Anne/Gil does, and truly, has there ever been anything else as sheerly lovely as that music video? O, an eternity of asjdflkdjf;a!

It's all the summer's fault-- )
