Author's Note: So, I have no damn idea where this came from. I have never written Rory/Jess before, I've never really tried to write Rory/Jess (or, well, I did once, but it got abandoned really swiftly), and I don't really spend a huge time thinking about them! But this idea has actually been playing around in my head for awhile, and I randomly decided earlier that I was going to write it instead of having it float around in the recesses of my head for all eternity!

All of this, I think, springs from my eternal loathing of that damn scene where Logan gives Rory the freaking Birkin bag, because it kind of made me believe that he had never actually met Rory Gilmore before. (Not that season six Rory Gilmore all that frequently resembles the awesome Rory Gilmore of years past, but still.) Huntzberger, this is for you, you bastard.

( A couple of weeks before Mom and Luke’s wedding, Jess shows up. )
