Oh, delicious! I love the way we see them on the show interacting through a barrier so often: he on one side of a door, she on the other. And here he is, neither in nor out, wishing but fearing, blind in one sense but powerfully possessed of another. And the summing-up you give Marian is exactly right, imo. She's hurting him in the service of a greater good, in her estimation; shes fully as ruthless, in her way, as he is in his. Thank you for tagging the ep so satisfyingly!
