and is especially ironic when you think of all the times Marian decieved Guy and you made it very clear how little remorse she has for that yet expects him to be completely honest.
I found that really interesting to play around with in this fic -- obviously, Marian's a bit justified in that her deception of him contributes to an endgame of doing good, but at the same time, the earnestness of Guy's feelings for her makes it a lot more heartwrenching than it technically should be. Oh, those two and their angsty powers!
