LOVE IT! That whole paragraph, monolouge?? Um, AH-MAZING! Sometimes, I just wish I could talk like Kelly. I don't know, someting about the way she just hops from one pop culture reference just seems so fun. And I'm so lame! :)
“My boyfriend abandoned me in New York to go get with the love of his life,” Karen reminds him sharply. Maybe she shouldn’t take this out on the guy who punched a hole in the wall, but whatever. “Would you be fine?”
“I don’t know, ‘cause I’m not gay,” Andy returns, along with an implicit ‘duh.’ “Duh.”
Sometimes I feel bad for Andy and Karen. I mean, stuck in Scranton. Things aren't really going well for Karen and Jim, Andy's in rehab Anger Management...and the whole time, I always wished they could have been kind of friends. You know, standing toe to toe and not falling into that chocolate river together? I guess I just wished they were better friends. But that's like another story completely and it wasn't even my original comment to the quote so.... I'm blaming it on Dayquil.
Anyways, I loved these lines between Karen and Andy. Her slight fear of him. His "Of course I'm not gay" that sounds exactly like "I went to Cornell" in my mind. You just write such great dialogue!!
And Pam and Karen's moment at the end! Yay for them for being big girls. It's kind of funny that the one Karen really sort of connects with a little bit in the end is her "rival."
