It's a really lovely show, although there's a pretty egregious "bury your gays" event in Series 3 that the show runner (if I'm not mistaken) actually ended up apologizing for. My relationship to the show has been considerably more cautious ever since, although I'm excited to start watching the latest series (which just wrapped up) because I've heard great things. The show runner is Sally Wainwright, who also makes "Happy Valley" and "Gentleman Jack"!
