A/N: I have no idea how this happened? Hope you like it.

Mildred always knows when Ethel is close. She feels it, a prickling sensation. She is sure that Ethel is, as usual, staring at her, at the back of her neck. She half-turns, resolved to face the other girl.

Ethel seems startled that she knew it was her and Mildred smirks slightly, for once she is the one with the upper hand, and, for once, she hadn’t had a reason to use her, stunningly awful, spell-work. She is smirking now, staring Ethel down, her voice darkly taunting.

“Something wicked this way comes.”

Ethel swallows, surprisingly nervous, then blinks. She has never felt this aware of the distance between them before now. Mildred has grown up since they last met and she seems to not care about Ethel’s mean ways now. Indeed, she steps closer to the girl, cutting off Ethel’s words with a surprisingly talented and tender kiss.
