Prompt: Once Upon A Time - Emma/Regina - Calling a truce to take Henry trick-or-treating
Other: I kinda… love this ship. A lot.
Henry Mills was one determined little boy, of course Emma Swann knew that already, she had, after all, been forced to come back to Storybrook with him since he would not come home otherwise. Of course, his running away had lead to a friction between Emma and Regina that, even now, was not likely to leave them in any doubt as to why they didn’t like one another.
Despite herself Regina had been the one to come to Emma, seemingly unable to say no to Henry, much as Emma would have loved to laugh at her for that… she was also unable to refuse the boy anything, which meant that laughing at Regina was off the cards, for now. Emma knew she disliked Regina and yet she still couldn’t bring herself to say no to the boy.
Come Halloween night Emma had dressed in the outfit Henry had picked, then made her way over to Henry’s house. She still refused to call the house Regina’s. She had been unable to hide her amusement when Regina answered the door in a matching outfit.
“Men in black? Really?”
She had paused, then shrugged.
“Could be worse.”
That had been when Henry emerged, smiling just slightly.
“Ready?”
“As I’ll ever be.”
