Okay, so I actually got a little verklempt over the loveliness of this and what might have been. I particularly enjoyed all the physicality in this one, Matthew and Mary just barely touching, Matthew and Lavinia, Lavinia leaning on Mary. And it's such a sweet image at the end, the leaning with heads-on-top-of-heads and the linked arms as they all go back inside. And Matthew talking about Mary with a "half-admiring half-bitter" tone is so true. I want these three kids together for always. (Come on, Vampire Lavinia! Make it happen!)
