well coach beiste isn't gay, which i thought was amaze. like how rare for a woman that butch to be played straight on television, and that lets them use her to talk about gender specifically. she basically delivered this killer speech about how masculine women are either treated by men with revulsion or fetishized as objects, and how she's never been kissed at forty years old because she can't abide being treated that way, and then will very gently leans in and kisses her and she looks like she might cry and they hug and he tells her she is wonderful.
it was fantastic and will schuester -- while still being kind of mansplainy and douchey -- is clearly growing as a person, which i approve of.
i totally understand. i recommend this episode, tho, if you get the chance. i also had trouble keeping up with tv when i was in school. project runway was the only one to survive my college years really. and now i am SO OVER THAT because this season finale was THE HEIGHT OF BULLSHIT
oh look at us gabbing away in a comment ficathon quelle surprise
