The day Rose proposed, we were stranded in Limbo, which is an awkward state of metadimensional trimorphism and also a thoroughly entertaining party game I happen to excel at. Rose was somewhat arc-shaped, but that was all right, because looks don't always matter. I was triangular and brainstorming, so it's quite miraculous I heard her at all.
"So, if we get outta this, will you marry me?" she asked. I nodded. Actually, I wobbled my hypothenuse in assent. But that was all right. We did get outta it, obviously, through a spot of innovative reverse exorcism (The only way out of Limbo is through Hell, apparently.) We got to the TARDIS and then I said "Yes" properly and she said "Yes what" and I said "Yes I will" and she said "Of course you will, since you're a bit clever." which is an understatement, but that is all right too, because love knows no boundaries.
In conclusion, Ponds, it is always a good idea to marry one's ex. And you are both invited to my wedding. Top hats optional.
