Oh jeez, I feel like I'm going to start sobbing any minute now! GYAH.
It makes her stomach feel strange and tight, like being hungry. They’ve just had breakfast. She wonders if she should ask for a snack.
THIS. Oh my god, it just - this is Dolls in love. Because of their innocence, they give it so freely and without thought, yet it's an experience completely foreign to them.
He’s wrong. Nothing is ugly here.
I am a fanatic regarding Dollhouse = Eden allusions, so this was awesome! (I REALLY NEED TO DO THAT "WINE RED" VIDEO SOMETIME.)
“You look like Victor,” she tells him. She tries to talk like the people who come to take them to their treatments. They sound so kind, but also very sure. You would never argue with them. You would always believe them.
!!!! The ability you have to get into Sierra's head is fabulous, and I really like how there's just the tiniest, most microscopic sliver of Creepy in here, because you can never forget that the Dolls are programmed to trust their handlers regardless of what happens. But that kind of trust is one of the most essential building blocks for love, and even though it's manufactured between a Doll and their handler, it's not between Sierra and Victor, and that shines through as well.
Miss Brook comes over, very fast, and asks them to show her their pictures.
PERFECT ENDING. Because even though that was the cutest and loveliest of moments, in the Dollhouse it can't last. Because there's always that vague threat that there'll be another Alpha situation on their hands.
UM BASICALLY, YOU SHOULD WRITE DOLLHOUSE FIC ALWAYS.
