I really enjoyed getting into Robin's head here, and I hope the show does sooomething along these lines. I really like the idea that, rather than not caring, she is just deeply, deeply immersed in the deepest denial there is, and can't quite let herself entertain the idea of her and Barney for the fear that it might actually be something resembling a good one.
