This was fantastic. The characters were perfect - Marian, how she doesn't want to hurt Guy even though she doesn't love him; Guy, how he brought her father into the equation like he has every step of the way. Lovely, and truly heartbreaking.
I really, really want to re-watch the series now. But I know the ending of season two, and I'm not sure I can handle that again.
It amazes me how attached I got to these characters. I mean, I get attached to some characters in all my fandoms, but this show and these characters... They felt like friends, like siblings, like lovers to me. When Will lost his father, when Allan betrayed Robin and the gang, when Little John ended up seeing his wife again - I felt for these characters. And this fic made me feel even more for them.
