Bwahaha, I find this entirely plausible. Even before she went nuts, I've always had it part of my own personal canon that Jan cannot cook even a little bit without disaster striking. This may or may not be based upon, well, me, who started a fire trying to make spaghetti. Which inspired my friends to sing "Hannah started the fire!", without even knowing about "Ryan started the fire!" Which . . . frankly, is kind of amazing.
