I like the internal monologue you give Laura, allowing her to sense his presence and wonder whether she should have hugged him, all while acknowledging there is something between them that can't quite be actualized.

And when they end up sitting in the passenger seats and Bill starts to state how he was thinking about her in particular, I love that you had her head him off and make a joke (or try to make a joke). That felt in character for where they were at with their relationship, and it was such a sweet moment.
