And this is so perfect! Oh, Anne. Oh, Gil. You wrote them both so perfectly, Anne with her obstinate refusal to believe Gilbert is anything but a good chum - but still keeping the handkerchief! - and Gilbert's ... Gilbertness. I flailed!
(and now I'm going to reread the AoGG books. It's spring, I was going to anyway, but this makes me want to even more!)
