Bwahaha, I think Arthur's remarkable, near-supernatural ability to be totally oblivious to pop culture is totally helping him out in this department. Like, he just refuses to process such information. Meanwhile, Howie and Cora have taken to stealing the copy that Kristy has been slogging through (Nikki says it's really great, but it is just too DARK; Anastasia has such bad self esteem and Christian is kind of creepy and why can't it be more like a Taylor Swift music video??) and reading it dramatically aloud.

Kristy retaliates by blasting "Call Me Maybe" until everybody loves it.
