Basically, this exceeded my wildest dreams! Who knew there was such a thing as The Perfect Fic? But, really, this is not a fic, no, this is a missing episode you found in some dark corner of the internet, dusted off, changed a few adverbs, and claimed it as your own. Because surely this was meant to be filmed.
I agree with everyone else who said that THIS NEEDS TO BE SENT OUT AS A SPEC SCRIPT. Get on Myspace, add Paul Lieberstein to your friends, and then FLOOD THE HELL OUT OF HIS MYSPACE COMMENTS PAGE one paragraph at a time until you have succeeded in posting this whole thing! Because those in HIGHER PLACES need to see your genius and ~make it happen on screen~. I can't EVER applaud you enough for how WELL you pulled this thing off. The pacing was right, the dialogue was amazing, Michael's sappy-happy Grey's Anatomy-esque monologue at the end with what would SURELY PLAY OUT BEAUTIFULLY ON SCREEN as an awesome montage was perfect, DWIGHT KISSING JIM.
I don't know what got me more in this section: Oscar and Andy bonding over MadLibs (SEE WHAT YOU AND YOUR WHORISH WAYS MAKE YOU MISS OUT ON, ANGELA? DO YOU SEE?!) (and also, Teutonic! Hahahaha!) or Pam and Michael's late night talk that--ahhh! I can't explain how deeply I loved that. Pam and Michael BONDING is a killer kink of mine, and to have that sad Michael moment? SIIIIIGH. You are giving me what the show is not giving me! And then there was the Jim and Pam "truth or truth" conversation that PROBABLY was the best thing Jim/Pam-related, EVER. How you managed to soccer punch me in the gut with those two in a way that this show hasn't in some time is BEYOND ME. Dammit, you made me ROOT for them! You made me PINE for their happiness! And yet you kept it light-hearted and fun, too. (Sidenote: Jim could never be Wolf Blitzer. Also, he could never defeat Dwight, even as a gladiator.)
You are so wonderful at this writing thing, and pretty much I wouldn't complain once if you decided to keep pumping these babies out. A Thanksgiving script? Okay! Maybe a Christmas party? Go for it! New Years is coming up. Try that one on for size! See if it fits! Because, friend of mine, you are amazing!
In the end: Thank you for rocking so hard! I love so much about the way that you choose to be.
