That's just... I wish the writers would address this. Because it's important and vital.
Me too so much! One of my favourite things about season four was the suggestion that Jim is seriously having some issues in that department (Survivor Man!!), but then the strike kind of stopped that storyline from truly going anywhere, and I WANT IT BACK. I have reached the conclusion that I just find Jim infinitely more endearing when he's pathetic, or somehow searching. If being with Pam means he's done, he's perfect, that's all he needs, I will be immensely dissatisfied. The notion that he is feeling sort of bummed out and inadequate, especially now that Pam's spreading her Fancy New Beesly wings so beautifully, is one that I really like, and I hope the show keeps up with it. Come on, show! You can do mad poignant pathetic Jim! I KNOW YOU CAN.
