Ahhhh. Oh, that helps. It makes everything make much more sense; even if I'd been a Remus/Tonks shipper, the way they were written in DH was just... completely weird, and everything screamed that there was more going on behind the scenes. That Teddy was unplanned and that he marries her because of the pregnancy... that makes it all fit into place, even if he did love her (which, based on everything else, is less likely).
And it's gorgeous, but you know that. I love how Tonks knows, how she loves him anyway and tells him in desperation before he goes underground, how it's such a relief on the few times he's able to be completely truthful, and how all of this is so awful and complicated and unreal compared to what he is when he's with Sirius. Oh, REMUS.
