This was seriously so beautiful! As I said on MSN, the repetition of "You tell yourself this" or "You keep telling yourself this" is very poignant, as is the repetition of what Laura does versus what Irina does. Very Jack, trying to separate the two and kind of failing miserably.
And the last few paragraphs pretty much own my soul completely. As I also said on MSN, hehe, they sum up EXACTLY why I love the Spyrents so much. Because their chemistry is subtle, but mind-blowing.
Very well done! I really hope you'll attempt another Jack/Irina fic soon!
