"Don't you think we're a little old for trick and treat?" Ventures Rory, ever the pragmatist. One day this will be his downfall but for now there is the Doctor in costume and the promise of Amy back in her policewoman outfit.

Speak of the devil, "It'll be fun." She grins, her hair brushed out and big and red.

"If you say so," he says, but he tries hard not to sound convinced.

The Doctor twirls around the console, "It's free sweets," he exclaims, "The one day of the year it's acceptable to knock on strangers doorsteps and ask for food."

Amy frowns, "You do that all the time."

"Do not."

"Do too."

He sighs, looks from one to the other and then down at himself, a centurion again. He wonders, perhaps, when the ache in his chest will lift, "So?" he asks, "Are we gonna go or what?"
