The first time Ruby knew exactly how dangerous Regina was, it was too late. She already loved the woman. She knew the woman had so much hidden in her past and yet, somehow, Ruby also knew she liked it. She had a feeling that Regina would eventually tell her a little more about her past.

She had come home to find Regina alone on her porch, seemingly trembling. All it had taken was three steps for Ruby to arrive at her side, her touch soft on Regina’s shoulder, the instant flinch saying everything.

“Honey…. Come inside.”

Aw this is great!
It's cute but also hints at the darkness of Regina at the same time.
