Wonderous Bewilderment and other such phrases, Star Trek Voyager - Janeway/Female Q - After Q jnr leaves Voyager, Female Q pays Janeway a visit trying to understand the male Q's fascination with Janeway.

The second that Q junior and his father had returned to the continuum, the female Q had chosen to see if she could begin to make sense of what it was about Captain Katheryn Janeway of the Starship Voyager that kept the male Q tangled up in knots. If she hadn’t known any better she would have said he almost… loved her. But that couldn’t have been true. Could it?

She had arrived in Janeway’s quarters. Well, just inside, right in front of the doors. After a short pause she had begun to look around, quite ignoring the fact that the rooms seemed empty. If she could understand what it was that was in Janeway’s quarters that kept Q arriving back here, then she wouldn’t need to find the woman.

After almost half an hour of digging through drawers and cupboards and all sorts of other areas, she had come up empty. She wasn’t entirely surprised but still, she had hoped it wasn’t a crush that kept the male Q here so often. Although, given Q’s history with Starfleet and a certain male Captain, she really wouldn’t have been surprised if it was merely the fact that this Captain was a female that kept him coming back here.

She had paused, then sighed, as she realised she would need to search for the Captain unless she was willing to be patient. She had a feeling that, eventually, perhaps when the ship was proven to be completely safe and free of a need for the good Captain, that Katheryn would return to her quarters. With that thought in mind she had settled to wait.

A quietness had fallen over the ship by the time that the doors to Katheryn’s quarters opened, revealing a silent and somewhat bored female Q. She had looked up directly into Captain Janeway’s eyes and she smirked slightly at the bemusement there.

“Well, hello stranger…”

“What now?”

The words, both crisp and irritated, drew a further smirk to Q’s lips, her voice soft as she rose and spoke.

“Q seems entirely smitten with you… I was wondering why. Clearly it’s not your warmth.”

“Perhaps he enjoys being beaten by mere mortals?”

“No. Definitely not.”

A low, and surprisingly impulsive, growl had escaped Janeway then. Q had laughed softly.

“Temper, temper…”

“Get. Out.”

Q sighed softly and rolled her eyes.

“Not happening.”

A pause, then Q spoke again.

“Perhaps it’s something… no.”

“Something?”

“I was going to say in the way you talk… but that can’t be it. It can’t be the way you dress, that’s just Starfleet uniform, I wonder…”

Before Janeway had any clue what was about to happen, Q had crossed closer to her, catching her off-guard and pulling her into what could only be described as a determined and somewhat passionate kiss.

After a little while longer Janeway had pushed Q away, their eyes meeting before Janeway sighed.

“He’s never done that… care to try again?”

“Oh, who cares…”

The three words had come quickly and Janeway soon found herself drawn into a second and further more passionate kiss.
