*I tried my best, I don't know if this is exactly what you were looking for with the prompt. But here you go anyway :)

She was wrong

McGonagall had to say begrudgingly: Bellatrix Black had been a good student during her years at Hogwarts. And she and the student had a decent friendship....or whatever you wanted to call it. But when she read the papers of Bellatrix going insane and handing herself over to the dark lord. Her heart twinged a bit.

She honestly believed that Bellatrix could've been destined for greatness and light. But apparently she seemed to fall in line with the rest of the Black family. And Bellatrix never quite enjoyed knowing that. McGonagall believed she had taught her and won her over with all the lessons of goodness and everything. But she was wrong.

Now with the Second Wizarding War coming to a dead end. They stood at different sides. Bellatrix laughing maniacally right behind Voldemort. McGonagall staring gravely and blankly with one single thought.

Where did she go wrong?
