(Here via Lady Mercury.) Ooh, this is good. Marvelously good. It's the sort of thing that the show itself has a hard time doing these days—limited time, lots of action, quite a lot of convoluted time travel bits—but also the sort of thing that makes the characters real. The emotional arc is just about perfect.
On top of that, there are lots of lovely little bits, almost throw-away lines, except that they're also so perfect. Amy liking flustered!Doctor (to be fair, who doesn't?) River realizing that Amy and Rory keep tea especially for her. And Mells's vendetta against the ridiculous hats of the world is now entirely a part of my personal canon.
