Once upon a time when I was wee, I checked out Road to Avonlea from the library, and I was SO DISAPPOINTED that it wasn't a televised version of the Anne books that I never went back. But I agree that it looks really appealing, and I keep meaning to give it a real try.

(Lark Rise to Candleford I have watched a few times, but I just can't get into the story. It seems endless and very slow. Which is a shame, because it may be the prettiest show title ever)

Your endless quest is a treasure, though! I mean, it only took me 3 years to become obsessed with Primeval. There's hope for everything.
