Caroline told him she figured there were two ways to go; the first was all angsty and blah and the second was useful. They were tougher and had instincts and senses suited for hunting. They didn't want to kill innocent people. They didn't want to be monsters.

There was also that thing where if he gave her one tiny nip, her undeadness became real deadness - Caroline brushed that off easily, literally from her new outfit.

Tyler wasn't exactly pleased to be presented with a black hoodie and face mask, but he put it on. She pointed her cellphone lens at him and yelled "Cheese!"

"You know, if this ends up on your facebook, it's no longer a disguise," he grumbled, slapping the mask to his face and standing still long enough for her to get one blurry shot.

"You moved," Caroline complained. "Twitchy!"

He rolled his eyes, but he didn't peel off the hoodie. He even tied her mask for her without pulling her hair.

"We're going to patrol Mystic Falls and protect people from other creature types - but what are we going to tell them when they see us hanging out together all the time," Tyler said pointedly. They had hung out a lot, but with Matt as a buffer.

She flipped her hood up and gave him a funny little vampire leer, complete with a kittenish wiggle of her hips. "I'll just say you're putting out!"
