Winter is coming; daylight is fleeting; for the students among us, end-of-semester hell is just about to rear its ugly head. What better way to combat such woes than with a super-cheerful comment ficathon?

The Rules Are Thus:

1. Cheerful prompts! I feel like there's not much regulation here in terms of pairings: almost every ship or pair of characters is capable of a fluffy/happy/silly moment, and if they're not in canon, then why can't they be in fic? However, any prompt involving, say, lyrics from Eminem and Rihanna's "Love The Way You Lie" is probably not appropriate in terms of tone. Unless it's the "guess that's why they call it WINDOW PANE" line, which will never stop being hilarious.

The house is practically perfect, Anne decides. It may have had something to do with seeing the house right before sunset, when the last lights of day are drifting through the windows at just the perfect angle. She hasn't grown up so much that she can't see the flecks of dust in the light dancing around and not pretend they're tiny fairies and pixies, welcoming her, dancing for her. She stands still, afraid that if she moves even the tiniest bit that they'll be frightened and dance away. For the moment she just sits, content to enjoy the show.

Gilbert finishes touring the rest of the house, as enthusiastic as Anne.

"Is there a single thing you would change about it, Anne girl?" Gil asks, picking her up and swinging her around by the waist. She smiles at him, trying to convey everything she's feeling. She thinks it must work, because he smiles back and tells the owners that they'll take it.

Later that night, they're walking home - taking the long, scenic route, of course - when a thought strikes Anne.

"Gil, we should have a breakfast nook! The house just exudes a romantic feeling, don't you think? The only thing missing is darling little breakfast nook, where we can sit and you can read the paper and I'll write and it'll be perfect, won't it?" Gilbert laughs, and reaches over to place a kiss on Anne's temple. She knows he'll give in, and is already planning out which wall to knock down. It's not their first house together, and it may not be their last, but for now, the little place looks like home.

So, it's pretty much like jackpot, because you're out with your girls, all ready to get your drink on and your dance on, and the only problem -- like usual -- is the total lack of actual men who are interesting or attractive or even worth your attention for reasons of the non-Well at least I get a free drink out of it variety. But then, right at the bar, like a gift from God and also validation that God, too, gets that Matthew Goode is super fine and every girl deserves one of her very own: two British guys. You aren't even kidding. Two super fine British guys. Like, okay, neither of them are Matthew Goode. One's super fine in that super English dark hair pasty skin way, where if he didn't have a British accent he'd mostly just look sort of nerdy, but the accent totally casts a hottie pall over his whole existence. The other one looks like he is trying to be that British singer from the eighties. Billy Elliot? Oh my God. Maybe it is Billy Elliot.

You're totally going to grab Melissa and Katie and straight up drag them over there -- well, okay, maybe just Melissa because Katie is too hot for her own good sometimes and hi, there are only two, and you are so not passing up on your opportunity for one of them. But then you start to listen to their conversation. At first just because, accents. Sigh.

But then--

Well, what everyone needs to know here, first and foremost, is that that Eminem and Rihanna song is playing. And it doesn't matter if Megan Fox makes out with a hobbit in the music video; the fact remains that this song is depressing. Like, who is going to dance and have a good time to THIS? Except crazy people.
