i love the ship in the usual sense (obviously) but it is so, so important to me above all other things that THEY ARE BEST FRIENDS, like regardless of what the circumstances are they're always going to there and care. it makes me really upset how eager lost fandom in particular is to negate one/several ships for the sake of one because like, the group was always supposed to mean more. all of them are so important to each other and when you ignore that, you automatically mess up their characterization. so it was really, really great to see someone treat post-series with such care. i've pretty much resigned myself to the fact that i'm gonna either write what i want to be out there or it's not gonna exist, so i get beyond excited when i end up surprised.
