Aw, thank you very much! :D I like that you pointed out the thing about the Adelle dialogue, because I did distinctly try to stop myself from being quite so Very British with her this time around. (That is something I always fall prey to, because 1) I have watched wayyyy too many Jane Austen movies, and 2) I always feel like, without the actors there to actually speak the words because it's fic, I have to latch onto their style of talking and then amp it up a little more to make sure it comes through.)

And I'm really glad you liked the little dollhouse ramble, which indeed is what it hinges on, I think: I always got the sense that Adelle was very enamored of the whole atmosphere of the Dollhouse, this tiny little perfect haven away from the cruel real world, and she was so damn good at running it and wearing blouses and walking in very high shoes. I always like examining what, exactly, it was about the Dollhouse that made her so devoted to her work, because being good at your job is one thing, but the degree to which she always totally SOLD IT (at the show's beginning, at least) was just intense.
