You completely changed Bella's narrative voice for this -- as you clearly know and did on purpose -- and it works a lot better. Taking her in a less ponderous I'm-Just-Your-Average-World Weary-Teenaged-Female-Protagonist direction is quite a delightful change of pace. Well done.
