I have always been so iffy on Pam/Ryan but then the MSPC arc kind of intrigued me, and clearly it planted itself into my subconscious because there wasn't even supposed to be any Pam/Ryan in this! Like, I wrote the "Pam deserves better" line at the beginning and figured that'd be my sly little nudge to my Pam/Ryan-shipping homies -- AND THEN IT TOOK OVER. I think somewhere in me, I just really like the idea of Ryan suffering futile unreturned love the way that Kelly did. It's got a nice soul-stabby little irony.
